Caitlin & Michael
Caitlin LeClair & Michael Moloney on October 7, 2018

In the beginning stages of Michael Moloney and Caitlin LeClair’s relationship, the two drove all around Rhode Island for fun get-togethers. Their first date on July 26, 2013, dining on the waterfront in Bristol, was accompanied by a striking sunset — setting off the first of many picturesque dates to come.
Caitlin and Michael bonded over their enthusiasm for traveling, which eventually took them to the cliffs of Maine, the beaches of the Gulf Coast, the mountains of Vermont, and several times to Disney World. What was always constant, though, was the single rose he would bring to her.
To commemorate their first date, the couple visits Bristol every July 26 — and they celebrate the beginning and end of every summer with a weekend in Newport.
In early 2017, during one of their various New England ventures, Caitlin and Michael visited Purgatory Chasm and were overlooking Second Beach when Michael got down on one knee. With Caitlin’s dream diamond engagement ring in his hand, he proposed.

Naturally Newport
With Caitlin working as a veterinarian in Portsmouth and Michael having lived in Middletown while receiving his law degree at Roger Williams University School of Law, the two have long-standing professional ties to Newport County. They spent many weekends on Aquidneck Island. One of these weekends included the engagement at Purgatory Chasm — mere minutes away from the Atlantic Resort, where they ultimately decided to have their wedding.
Dietary Debacle
Like many brides, Caitlin wanted to be in her best shape for the wedding. She went on a diet for a year prior and was looking forward to eating the wedding cake. As she waited with excitement for her first bite, Michael’s nerves set in. Instead of sharing, he took two bites of cake for himself.
Fall Florals
Embracing the season, the couple decided on a navy blue and cranberry color scheme, decorated with gold pumpkin centerpieces and place card holders. Keeping with the theme, the bridesmaids were given wine-colored robes and matching jewelry. The floral arrangements were cohesive, as well — they included burgundy dahlias, blush roses, blue thistle and a single lisianthus as an homage to Caitlin’s cousin, who passed away a few weeks before the wedding. The deep purple flower was a tribute to her favorite color.
Where are they now?
After an extravagant honeymoon tour of Italy, including visits to Rome, Sorrento, Positano and Ravello, the two returned home to Warren, Rhode Island. Caitlin is a veterinarian at Mount Hope Animal Hospital and Michael is an attorney for Fall River Housing Authority.
