Andrea & John
Andrea Pedemonti & John Cinti on August 20, 2017

Welcome to the digital age, where love is just a swipe away. At least, that was the case for Andrea Pedemonti and John Cinti, who met on Match.com in 2015. Andrea had just downloaded the app when John messaged her for the first time. Andrea was hesitant and didn’t respond to him right away. John met her apprehension with persistence, and they had their first date the following week. He ended up being the only man she ever responded to on the site.
Almost a year and a half later, the couple was vacationing in California where John used to live. Before sitting down to dinner at a resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, John suggested they watch the sunset over the Pacific Ocean. On the coastal cliff, John asked Andrea to be his wife.
“My husband and I both wanted a coastal location, given that he has been vacationing in Watch Hill his whole life and I spent summers on the Connecticut shore.”

MEET IN THE MIDDLE?
As native East Coasters — John is from New York and Andrea is from Connecticut — the couple had a lot of friends and family residing in New England, so Rhode Island was convenient. For their California comrades, Newport provided the quintessential New England experience. Having a summer wedding on the coast was very important for the couple, and no one does summer like Newport.
SIP AND SITE
Overwhelmed by the magnitude of eligible venues on the island, Andrea and John wanted to consider their options carefully. At each potential location, they looked around and sat for a drink to assess the place’s true atmosphere. They fell in love with Castle Hill Inn while sitting on their Adirondack chairs. John is an interior architect and Andrea is an event planner, so they’re no strangers to unique venues. They knew almost immediately that Castle Hill’s waterfront views were the perfect fit.
PERFECTLY PINK
Andrea’s favorite color is pink, so she naturally wanted to incorporate it into the wedding. The floral arrangements included orchids, calla lilies, roses and ranunculus, all in various shades of the color, and the table centerpieces featured pink hydrangeas. The color scheme was balanced with John’s favorite color: navy blue. These colors were used in all aspects — from the invitations to the gift bags — to represent both partners equally.
WHERE ARE THEY NOW?
After honeymooning in Mallorca, Spain, the two returned to their home in Fairfield, Connecticut.
