Marissa & Kyle: April Diary Entry

Follow the adventures of our Diary of a Newport Wedding, featuring an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look into all of the coordination, planning, and excitement leading up to Marissa Giammarco and Kyle Sawaia’s big day!

April 2017

Bachelorette party:

We started off our Sunday Funday bachelorette with an amazing brunch at 1149 Restaurant. Each one of us had to have made at least three trips up to the buffet! We were stuffed! After brunch it was over to Adventureland in Narragansett for some fun! We kicked it off by playing 18 holes of mini golf! My sister lost her ball a few times but my mother went on to win the game! We had some good laughs! After that, it was on to the go-karts and batting cages! I was most excited for that! After a few hours at the park we decided to take a drive down to Galilee to just relax and take in the ocean. Of course we had to make room for some clam cakes and chowder! I appreciate all of the ladies in my life more than they will ever know! 

Bachelor party:

Kyle started off his night at Arooga’s sports bar. The boys met there for some drinks and wings! After that they went over to Free Play Arcade and Bar in Providence. Kyle and his friends absolutely love it there! They have a crazy array of old school arcade games that takes everyone back to their youth! Kyle and I couldn’t imagine our parties any other way. They were a perfect representation of us and how we like to have fun! Of course being surrounded by family and friends made it even better! Huge thanks to our Best Man, Garrett and Maid of Honor Gabriella for making it happen! 

The big day approaches:

Choosing our wedding invitations was a simple task thanks to Park Printers! I looked through many books before finding the most beautiful, elegant invite ever! The wording is simple and meaningful as well as the style! The RSVP’s are flying in and it’s almost time to get this show on the road! We cannot wait! Thanks again to our Uncle Mark Sawaia and my father-in-law to be Peter Sawaia for the incredible invitations!
