Liz & Aly

“The whole setting with getting married on a dock, in a marina, right on the water was more than we could have ever hoped for in our wedding day.”

Liz Ross & Aly Zappen on June 10, 2017.

Liz Ross of West Hartford, Connecticut and Aly Zappen of Huntington Beach, California first met at work in Salem, New Hampshire, where they bonded over a mutual affinity for hockey. They fell in love over an air hockey table in downtown Boston and became inseparable. Lacing up skates isn’t the only thing the couple shares. They both said their favorite moment of the wedding, without skipping a beat, was when they saw each other at opposite ends of the aisle.

Life Long Song

The Delta Rae song “Whole Life Long” seemed to follow the couple along their romantic journey, starting with hearing it in the car at the end of their first date. Sure enough, the first concert they attended together was Delta Rae. It seemed to fit perfectly that they also used it as the first song they danced to as a married couple.

Maritime Matrimony

To add a seaside flair, the brides made hanging starfish with nautical rope which were hung on the chairs leading down the aisle. On the tables, they displayed sand and shells under the flower centerpieces, and the wedding cake was tied with a nautical rope and topped with two Adirondack chairs.

Change of Plans

Liz and Aly thought they were wrapping up their wedding plans when the original venue fell through. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as they switched to Regatta Place, where the incredible views and an oceanside touch surrounded them.

Where Are They Now?

The couple spent a week in Provincetown, MA, a special spot for them, following the wedding. Upon their return to New Hampshire, Mrs. And Mrs. Zappen-Ross began planning a more elaborate honeymoon, and their move to Florida in September 2017.
