Garden Fête Cocktail Recipes
As promised in our 2018 issue, here are the recipes for those tasty cocktails you’ve been dreaming of:
The Rhubee
Little Bitte Artisanal Cocktails
Tasting notes: floral, tart & nectarous
Ingredients:
1 1/2 oz Caledonia Spirits Vodka
3/4 oz Art in the Age Rhubarb Cordial
1/2 oz hibiscus honey syrup*
1/2 oz fresh pressed lemon
Edible blossoms & rhubarb ribbons (to garnish)
Preparation:
Combine liquid ingredients in a bar tin, add ice, shake vigorously for 10 seconds, pour over fresh ice and garnish with edible blossoms.
Hibiscus Honey Syrup: Steep 1 tablespoon of organic dried hibiscus blossoms in 1 cup of boiling water, steep for 20 minutes add ½ cup of honey and stir until the honey is entirely dissolved. Cool, strain, discard the solids and store in a clean jar and refrigerate for up to 1 week. Yields 12 ounces or 24 servings.

The Dandy
Little Bitte Artisanal Cocktails
Tasting Notes: boozy, earthy & herbaceous
Ingredients:
2 oz Bulleit Rye
1/2 oz Cardamaro
1/2 oz Carpano Antica sweet vermouth
Sparkling water
Citrus wheels for garnish
Fresh mint
Preparation:
Fill your rocks glass or copper mug with ice, pour in your liquid ingredients saving the sparkling water for last and garnish with fresh native varieties of mint like orange mint, pineapple mint, chocolate mint or apple mint, each with their own beautiful texture and essence.

The Rosa Ragosa (mocktail)

Tasting Notes: beach rose, bright citrus & honey
1 oz freshly-pressed lemon
1 oz beach rose syrup*
Sparkling water
Preparation:
Gently stir ingredients and pour over ice. Garnish with edible blossoms & fresh herbs.
Beach Rose Syrup: Steep 1 cup of loosely packed beach rose petals in 1 cup of boiling water, steep for 20 minutes add ½ cup of honey and stir until the honey is entirely dissolved. Cool, strain, discard the solids and store in a clean jar and refrigerate for up to 1 week. Yields 12 ounces or 12 servings.
Quick Tips:
- It’s important to have an exciting non-alcoholic option for your friends to enjoy whether they simply don’t drink alcohol or need to hydrate.
- For cocktail making, have at least three pounds of ice per person. Also buy an extra 10-15 pounds of ice per case of beer or wine that you plan to chill. You always need more than you think.
