To Veil or Not to Veil

Veils have a long history in weddings. Ancient Greeks and Romans believed that the veil protected the bride from evil spirits. In addition, when arranged marriages were the norm, the bride and groom would meet for the first time at the altar. The veil was used to hide the bride’s face and not lifted until after the ceremony so the groom could not back out if he did not like what he saw! If veils aren’t your thing, there are many options to dress up your dresses from elegant combs and sparkly clips to boho flower crowns or intricate headbands that will add that perfect touch to accompany your wedding dress.
